Casablanca

In a tense compound, Octavia practices boxing while Chinaza chases a man through the yard. Chioma aggressively recruits her hesitant cousin into prostitution, promising easy money, and argues with another woman over missing panties. Johnbull, a man suffering domestic abuse from his wife, confides in Octavia. Ashanti, a prostitute, visits a native doctor for a charm to attract customers but it backfires, leaving her destitute. Octavia confronts and beats Johnbull's wife to teach her a lesson, and tensions rise over debts and missing clothing. The police raid the Casablanca district, arresting Chioma's associates and disrupting the sex trade. Ashanti ends up crying in the street, her charm having failed. Johnbull's wife finally leaves him, and he finds solace with Octavia, who has been protecting him. Octavia and her friend Musa encounter a weeping woman who nearly died from an abortion. They offer her food and shelter, promising to help her start anew. Moved by her plight, Octavia decides to leave her fighting life behind, focusing on helping others rebuild their lives.
