Love And Duty

Nora Akintola, a Financial Crimes Unit officer, assists Temisan Kado when he intervenes in a domestic dispute at a residential estate. The two recognize each other later when Susan, Nora's best friend and roommate, arranges a date with a man named Temi who turns out to be Temisan. Temisan picks up Susan but his attention stays fixed on Nora. During a charged car ride they discover shared tastes — yam, thrillers, Real Madrid, jazz — and Nora resists the pull out of loyalty to Susan, who is developing feelings for him. Raymond, Nora's estranged older brother, reappears and reveals himself as the informant who reported Temisan to the FCU. Nora is assigned to lead the investigation into Temisan, CEO of Capital Holdings, accused of cyberterrorism and fraud between 2015 and 2018. Temisan confesses he led the Black Reapers cult and stole billions but stopped after his mother's deathbed promise, quietly supporting victims' families. In interrogation he admits his crimes and offers full restitution of six billion naira, refusing counsel's advice to settle. His friend warns the repayment will bankrupt him but Temisan insists on starting clean. Raymond confronts Nora and demands she end the relationship. She defends her autonomy. The case closes for insufficient evidence after the restitution, and Nora's superior acknowledges they underestimated the suspect. Nora resigns from the FCU, choosing love over duty. Temisan liquidates his ill-gotten gains. Raymond relents after Nora's mother encourages her to fight for the relationship. Temisan and Nora reunite and embrace a future together as Temisan declares he would lose everything rather than lose her.
