EARLY LIFE

David Jones David was born on 21 June 1988 in Afia Nsit, Nsit Ibom Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. He was raised in a Christian household. His father is from Akwa Ibom (Ibibio ethnicity), while his mother, Aret Cyril (a legal practitioner and property consultant), is from Abia State, giving him mixed Ibibio and Igbo heritage. He spent significant early years in Kano State in northern Nigeria, where he attended Unity Comprehensive College for both primary and secondary education. He later studied English and Social Studies at the Federal College of Education in Zaria. Growing up in diverse environments shaped his cultural outlook, which later influenced his artistic and advocacy work.

David Jones David is a multi-talented Nigerian entertainer best known as a singer, actor, sound engineer, and prominent anti-drug abuse campaigner. Acting: He gained wider recognition for his role as Timi in the African Magic telenovela Hotel Majestic (2015), written by Tunde Aladese and featuring actors such as Sadiq Daba, Ivie Okujaye, and Oge Okoye. Other film and TV credits include Betrayal, A Father's Love (2026), Cruel Intentions, Living with Alfred’s, and On the Real. He has been associated with an Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Award (AMVCA) recognition for Best Actor in a Drama Series. Music and Sound Engineering: He worked as a sound engineer and music composer at Rockhouse Media Limited (2006–2007) and as Studio Manager at Angels Media (2008–2009). In 2009 he founded his own media company, David House Limited. He specializes in composing original tracks and creating voice-overs or lyrical adaptations set to existing beats to convey social messages. His breakthrough as an anti-drug campaigner came in October 2017 with the viral Instagram release of “Onye Ara,” a song addressing drug abuse. David Jones David is married Enose Oriarewoh. He generally keeps family details relatively private. He is a practising Christian and has spoken about balancing his public advocacy and entertainment career with personal life. He has never used drugs and emphasizes this in his anti-substance abuse messaging.

David Jones David is widely recognized for his sustained anti-drug abuse campaign, which he launched in response to the rising normalization of substance use among young people in Nigeria.
