In Mother's Bargain 2, Chief Coker, a wealthy 63-year-old construction magnate, lives in Abuja with his younger wife Adaora. Their marriage is loving but strained by years of infertility, a pain marked by a memorial for Adaora's mother Felicia three years earlier. After a failed IVF cycle, their doctor diagnoses unexplained infertility and suggests surrogacy, which Adaora firmly rejects because she wants to carry her own child. The couple plans a trip to Norway to rekindle their bond. Their world shifts when a young architect named Adewale arrives with his mother Alicia claiming to be Chief Coker's son from a relationship 26 years earlier. A DNA test confirms the paternity at 99.9 percent, and Chief Coker embraces his newfound son and invites him and Alicia to live in the family home. Adaora, already insecure about their age gap and her childlessness, struggles as her husband's attention turns toward Adewale. Alicia subtly undermines Adaora's position while encouraging Adewale's resentment, and Adewale initially rejects his father's overtures before bonding with him over business ventures.
