Storyline
Nosa wakes to find Awoli asleep on his couch and launches into a tirade about hygiene. The habit poisons his marriage to Brenda, who still grieves a twin miscarriage. Brenda lets dishes pile up and soaks underwear for days, and therapy confirms her depression. A pastor’s mediation only highlights resentment because Nosa demands respect before love and Brenda feels unloved. Nosa owes two billion naira to dangerous creditors and thugs assault him at his gate. Brenda calls her father, a major general, who stations soldiers around the house. In Invest In My Heart the debt and the marriage become a single battlefield. A friend suggests a scheme to disgust Brenda by hiring a man to pose as Nosa’s gay lover. They recruit Kolade, a father of two, who dresses in a wig and women’s clothing for the ruse. The soldiers brutalise Kolade and expose the setup, and the plan collapses. Anuri, Nosa’s ex‑wife and finance director, refuses to help remove Brenda because he replaced her quickly. Chika arrives pregnant with her native‑doctor father demanding Nosa marry her, and Brenda changes the locks for privacy. Brenda refuses to give Nosa the keys and declares war on the creditors while soldiers guard. Chika and Brenda fight in the living room until security guards separate them. Nosa demands his keys and orders Brenda to move out, but she asserts her wifely rights and stays. He retreats to his separate room and rejects her attempts at intimacy. Later Nosa tracks Brenda down, begs for another chance, admits he was wrong, yet she rebuffs him and says he must live with his decision. Anuri meets Nosa one last time, returns his flowers and walks away after a final embrace. Brenda, guarded by soldiers, prepares a meal and welcomes Nosa home, but he refuses to eat and repeats his demand for keys and her departure. She challenges his unhappiness and he dismisses her pleas. The film ends with Nosa and Anuri sharing a goodbye hug — Have a nice life — as she drives away leaving Nosa alone.
