Chukwu Kosiso Kayer was born on 13 September 1987 and hails from Awgu Local Government Area of Enugu State, Nigeria. He is of Igbo ethnicity and was raised in a Christian family. His parents are Mr. and Mrs. Chukwu, and he has siblings. He attended Federal Government College Ugwolawo, where he completed his secondary education (Class of 2004). He later proceeded to Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki, graduating in 2011. One verified project is the “Double Drop” album (released 13 September 2022), written, composed, and performed by Kosiso Chukwu Kay (KayeR). He has performed and shared original highlife-Afropop tracks and continues to build a local following in Abuja’s music scene.
