Jeff and Tonia's Monday morning explodes over household expenses, tensions already frayed by financial strain. At work, Jeff brushes off a colleague's suggestion that Tonia find a job, recalling her past failed ventures. That evening, Tonia pitches the idea of renting out their extra rooms through Airbnb, a business Jeff initially rejects due to privacy concerns. Eventually he caves, imposing strict rules—no smoking, no foul language, and the upstairs remains off-limits. Their first guest, a rude woman, leaves the kitchen in shambles, testing Tonia's patience. After adjusting to allow one-night stays, bookings trickle in, but each difficult client chips away at her resolve. Then Kaila arrives. Jeff offers her a ride and listens sympathetically as she shares a heartbreaking story of losing her mother and suffering a miscarriage. Tonia watches their growing closeness with simmering jealousy.
