EARLY LIFE

Moc Oge Madu was born on September 2, 1986, in Sokoto State, Nigeria. He hails from Ezele Oba in Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State. He was born into a Christian family as the first of six children. His early years were spent in Abuja, where he completed his primary and secondary education. He later pursued a degree in Theatre Arts at Imo State University, Owerri. To further hone his skills in filmmaking, he attended the PEFTI Film Institute in Lagos, specializing in cinematography.

Moc Madu, professionally known as Moc Madu and popularly referred to as "Onwa Idemili," is a Nigerian actor, filmmaker, and entrepreneur. Over the years, Moc Madu has carved a niche for himself in Nollywood, not just through his acting prowess but also via his entrepreneurial ventures. His Nollywood journey began humbly in 2003, working in technical support roles such as lighting technician, boom operator, and continuity supervisor on several film sets. His on-screen debut came in 2007 when he was cast in the BBC World Service Trust drama "Wetin Dey." In 2015, he experienced a breakthrough with his critically acclaimed performance as "Chike" in the film "Afamefuna." Moc Madu’s elder sister, Nkem Madu, defended him, showcasing real estate development projects allegedly owned by Moc Madu. The situation intensified when a woman claiming to be Moc Madu’s former partner accused him of neglecting a child they supposedly had together, posting an emotional video in early March 2025.
