Chidi manages the household while Alicia, the breadwinner, travels for work, her condescension eroding his self-worth. In 'Through It All', confiding in his mother-in-law brings no relief; Alicia wants a divorce. Encouraged by friend Brian, Chidi attends a party and meets Yvonne and Ama, eventually bringing them home. Alicia returns early, forcing Chidi to hide the women in the kitchen; she finds a woman's undergarment and confronts him. Chidi admits to cheating and claims he enjoyed it, sparking an argument where Alicia enumerates the financial burdens she carried. Chidi moves in with Brian, secures a job, and buys a new car, regaining his independence. Meanwhile, Alicia reunites with ex-boyfriend Harry, who moves in but becomes abusive—controlling and physically violent. Realizing her mistake, Alicia seeks out Chidi, apologizing for her past behavior and asking for reconciliation. Chidi initially refuses but eventually agrees to meet. At a bar, Chidi forgives her and proposes downsizing: sell the expensive car, invest wisely. He asks for a child, and they agree to wait three months before trying. They reconcile with a kiss, ending on a hopeful note.
