Biography

EARLY LIFE

Esther Audu was born on March 22, 1982, in Ikeja, Lagos, into the family of Mr. James Audu, a retired Military officer. She is the youngest of six children and her family is originally from Olamaboro of Kogi State. She had her primary and junior secondary schools in Lagos. In 2002, her family moved to Abuja, where she completed her secondary school education. In 2006, she secured admission to study Business Management at the University of Jos, Plateau State, and graduated with a BA in Business Management in 2010.

CAREER

Esther started her acting career in secondary school. While she initially dreamt of being a newscaster, her participation in drama and literary clubs and representing Nigeria at Kidafest in Ghana in 1996 ignited her passion for acting. She starred in her first lead movie roles in 'Ungodly Romance' and 'Sins of Rachael' in Jos. She continued acting while studying, featuring in 'Fatal Mistake' in a sub-lead role. She has been acting professionally since 2008. She is popularly known for starring in films such as 'Inikpi', 'Dinner' (2016), 'Mystified' (2017), 'Order of the Ring' (2013), 'Hidden Treasure' (2008), 'Behind A Smile' (2009), 'Hamza' (2010), 'Two Hearts', 'The Kingdom', and 'Victims'. She was also set to star in 'In Between' and 'Unfair'.
