Adunni

A wealthy patriarch named Otunba falls seriously ill, and a dedicated doctor named Adunni is summoned to treat him. However, she faces intense hostility from Otunba’s wife and associates, who are suspicious of her motives. Otunba’s son Banji (also called Dayo) conspires with his lover Jumoke and a corrupt lawyer to kill his father and inherit his vast wealth. They attempt to extort Otunba and even kidnap Dr. Adunni to prevent her from interfering, but she bravely escapes. Meanwhile, a romantic subplot involves Dayo falling for a different woman named Adunni, but this relationship is sabotaged by the family elders and a deceitful prophet who manipulates events for his own benefit. As the antagonists escalate their criminal activities, they hire hitmen and plant tracking devices to monitor Otunba and Dr. Adunni. Unknown to them, Otunba has been aware of their treacherous plans from the start. He has been pretending to be weak to test their true characters and has secretly gathered evidence. The climax arrives when the police, acting on Otunba’s information, raid the conspirators’ hideout. They rescue Dr. Adunni and other hostages, arresting the entire gang. In a dramatic final confrontation, Otunba formally disowns his son, Banji, and his co-conspirators, commending Dr. Adunni for her loyalty and bravery. The film concludes with the perpetrators being taken to prison, justice served.
