Iyaloja: The Movie (Isale-Eko) is a Nigerian drama set in the old part of Lagos called Isale-Eko. The title of Iyaloja means the mother and leader of all the market women. It is a very respected and sacred position. One day, a charming woman arrives in the market. She behaves nicely and talks sweetly. She quickly makes friends and starts showing that she wants to become the next Iyaloja. At first, many people like her and support her. But as time passes, people begin to notice strange things. The woman has many hidden secrets. She is not who she pretends to be. Some market women start asking questions. Jealousy grows and old rivalries come back. The fight for the throne becomes very tense. Meetings are held and people argue. The woman tries to use her charm to cover her secrets, but the market women are watching carefully. In the end, the whole market must decide who is really worthy to lead them.
