Storyline

In Omego Pounds & Dollar, Ebube is a young woman who runs a POS stand and sings part-time at a lounge, and she looks after her brother Ifeanyi. The wealthy businessman Omego hears her on stage and moves into her circle, calling himself 'Omego pounds and dollars', but Ebube turns him away. Ifeanyi wakes her with news that he scored 255 in JAMB, and she is overjoyed but immediately worried about the cost. She promises Ifeanyi he will go to school. At the lounge run by a female boss, Ebube's singing wins over customers and pushes Betty out of the lead-singer position. Omego becomes obsessed, sending his aide to summon Ebube and following her outside her gate, but she firmly rejects him. Ifeanyi lands a job at Omego's electronics shop and spots discrepancies in the stock records. He reports the matter to Omego, angering senior employees Arinze and Obinna, who have been stealing from the shop. To protect themselves, the pair arrange a false theft accusation, and the police arrest Ifeanyi for stealing 200,000 naira. Ebube goes to Omego to plead for her brother's release, bringing only 30,000 naira as a first payment. He refuses the partial amount and makes clear that he expects her to yield to him in exchange for letting Ifeanyi go. Ebube walks away rather than sacrifice herself. She is crying on the roadside when Henry, a kind stranger, approaches and listens to her story, then gives her the money needed to secure Ifeanyi's release. Ebube pays Omego the full 200,000 naira plus interest at his shop and tells him to leave her family alone. Ifeanyi is freed, and Omego's men confront Arinze and Obinna on the street, where the two men confess that Obinna orchestrated the theft against Ifeanyi. Henry keeps supporting the siblings. He buys Ifeanyi a gift, promises to take on his school fees, and arranges a job interview for Ebube at a bank. At the bank, the manager mentions to Henry that Omego has fallen on hard times.
