Mystery Man 2

A father checks on his daughter Lola, who is coding on her tablet in bed. She turns down his help at first, calls him back, and asks him to move elements on the screen for her. In Mystery Man 2, Nancy sits alone in her Lagos apartment and phones Ben, a real-estate contact, about leasing or selling the home. Ben agrees to arrange a viewing, and Anton, a bearded house hunter, arrives and admires the place. Anton makes an awkward confession and says he is interested in Nancy rather than in the property, and he asks her to lunch. Nancy agrees reluctantly. Nancy tells her friend Grace that moving on feels impossible because her husband James died six months earlier, and she is afraid of gossip. Grace insists Nancy deserves happiness and should not put a timeline on grief. Aderonke, a stranger, comes to Nancy's door and says Nancy is holding something that belongs to Aderonke's husband. Aderonke says her gifted daughter solved a puzzle hidden in a gift from the man, and the answer led to Nancy's Victoria Island address with an instruction to collect a precious gift. Nancy says she does not understand, and the visit becomes a confrontation. Other women, including a woman named Aduke, join in, and they argue about who was a legal wife, who had children, and who deserves the gift. In the middle of the chaos, Aderonke realises that the man had presented himself to several women under different identities, so no one knows which claim is true. The detective on the case gets a warning from Mrs. Oduwak that Nancy and the others resumed investigating after he told them to stop. Anton lures Nancy to a house, takes her phone, and masked men lock her in a room after a violent struggle. He demands she open a safe, and when she cannot, he threatens her. Nancy sends word to the women outside, and Omolola, who has been helping with the puzzle, tells them to swipe up on a photo in the message thread. The photo's location data shows where Nancy is.
