Storyline
Mide and Nicole's marriage is a battlefield of Nicole's drinking and disrespect, culminating when she fires the maid and leaves their infant JJ unattended. Mide, a lecturer, must bring JJ to his classes, a struggle that introduces him to Sarah, a former student working as a cleaner. He hires her as a nanny, and their bond deepens while Nicole attends a wedding in Abuja, ignoring Mide's calls. Nicole returns apologetic, but Mide files for divorce, though he hesitates. Sarah's mother warns her against a married man. Nicole's trip to Abuja turns tragic when she accidentally kills a man named Mr. Tony in a hotel room. She is arrested. Mide secures a lawyer but tells Nicole's father the marriage is over, choosing to focus on JJ. The divorce proceedings stall as the legal case unfolds. Months later, Mide and Sarah meet again by chance. He explains his single fatherhood and asks to start over as friends. Sarah agrees, and they share a hug before walking together toward her class—a tentative step forward, unburdened by romance but anchored in mutual care.
