Jidenna hides in his apartment as his friend Henry tells an angry woman at the door that Jidenna has relocated to Abuja. Henry jokes that Jidenna owes him for years of cover-ups. Ovie prepares Daniel's favorite meal, and her friend Sammy warns that Daniel is milking her devotion. Ovie dismisses the warning and says Daniel is going through a rough time. Sammy finds an online announcement that Daniel is engaged to Lucy Afolabi, daughter of the executive whose contract Daniel has been chasing. Ovie and Sammy push past the gateman into Daniel's house, where Lucy stands in a robe. Ovie reveals she is Daniel's girlfriend, and Lucy declares she is his fiancée. The relationship crumbles. Heartbroken, Ovie lets Sammy drag her to a lounge, drinks too much, and approaches a stranger at the bar. Jidenna mistakes her for a prostitute and offers her money, which humiliates her. At work, Ovie learns Jidenna is the managing director of the firm partnering with her boss Susan. Jidenna apologizes, sends birthday gifts, and talks her into a party he wants to throw, but he never appears. Ovie learns he spent that day with Gina, a woman he continues to see. Working at Jidenna's apartment, Ovie finds more evidence of Gina and leaves. She concludes that Jidenna is no different from Daniel and tells Sammy she is finished with men. A blunt conversation with a friend reminds Jidenna how carelessly he has treated women, so he appears at Ovie's house and apologizes for the humiliation he caused. He admits he should have ended things with Gina before starting anything with Ovie. Jidenna cooks Ovie a meal and tells her she will not need the recipe if she agrees to be his girlfriend. Ovie softens and says please again. They kiss, and Jidenna scoops her into his arms and carries her off.
