EARLY LIFE

Seleye Fubara was born on February 24, 1983, and hails from Asari Toru Local Government Area in Rivers State, Nigeria. She completed her secondary education at Wisdom International Secondary School and later earned a degree from the University of Port Harcourt. Growing up in the Kalabari–Ijaw community, she developed a deep connection to her roots.

CAREER

Seleye Fubara launched her acting career in 2019. She first gained attention with her role in the movie 'Space Out' and achieved wider recognition after starring in 'Plagued' alongside Bryan Okoye. Her filmography includes 'Swapped Fate' (2023), 'Boss Down', and 'Out of Control' (2023). She is also known for 'The Christmas Package' (2024) and 'Brothers Obi Nwanne' (2024). Beyond acting, Seleye has ventured into film production, with an aim to highlight stories from the Ijaw community and promote cinema in the Niger Delta. She relocated from Port Harcourt to Lagos to access broader opportunities while continuing to produce and star in films set in her native region. Her ambition is to build a thriving Ijaw film industry that gives voice to underrepresented narratives.
