Flowers For Zirachi

In 'Flowers For Zirachi,' Zirachi and Ugo's plan to flee to Europe unravels when his debt to trafficker Sabi forces a cruel bargain. Brought before Sabi, she learns Ugo has chosen to leave alone and sold her to settle accounts. Renamed 'Prostitute' by Aunty, who breaks her will with a slap, Zirachi is thrust into prostitution, her spirit crushed. Pregnancy brings no respite: she works until labor, when Sabi's men take her to a river for delivery due to her mother's water priesthood.
