Biography
EARLY LIFE
Ben Lugo Touitou was born on January 22, 1988, in Enugu State, Nigeria, to a Jewish Israeli father and a Christian Igbo mother. He grew up in Enugu State alongside a younger sister. He developed an interest in acting from a young age, influenced by the creative environment around him. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Valley View University, Accra, Ghana, and later from Del-York Creative Academy in 2019, where he was trained and coached by John Richardson, a Hollywood acting coach. He got involved in several tech startups before deciding to give his passion for filmmaking and acting a go.

Recognized as one of the highest-grossing actors of 2021 on the Nollywood big screen, Ben Lugo Touitou began his acting career around 2013 and is known for his compelling, diverse, and dynamic range of on-screen personalities. His notable films include 'The Mystic River', 'Before Valentines', 'Lockdown', 'The Party', 'Kamsi', 'Crazy People', 'Time and Chance', 'Beyond Repair', 'Lagos Cougars', 'Desperate Housewives Africa Series', 'Life 101 Series', 'Castle & Castle Netflix Series', 'Saro The Musical', 'Bad Comments', 'Room 102', 'Dear Dianne', 'Sarah's Bind', 'Contract Wife', 'Shrine Girl', and 'Too Sweet to be Doubted'. He was first discovered by Royal Arts Academy in 'Lagos Cougars' (2013) and later by Ebonylife Media for 'Desperate Housewives Africa Series' (2015) and 'Life 101 Series' (2017), which, along with the 'Castle & Castle Netflix Series', catapulted him to the limelight. In 2017, he became Obaro in 'Saro The Musical', performed live in London. He has received nominations at the African Choice Awards and the Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival. 'Beyond Repair' was nominated for Best Nollywood Movie, and he was nominated for Best Actor Africa at the Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival in 2020. He won Best Original Series at the AMVCA 2022 for the Netflix series 'The Mystic River' as the lead actor.
PERSONAL LIFE
Ben maintains a relatively private personal life. Despite the great heights his acting career has reached, he is still a tech entrepreneur and businessman, a humble polymath who has a broad interest of knowledge and enjoys to learn. He is fluent in English, Igbo, French, and Twi, with some knowledge of Hebrew. He is known for his tall stature, fitness, and multilingual abilities. He is currently single and focused on his career. He has interests in poetry, public speaking, music (piano and guitar), swimming, dancing, and drawing.
