EARLY LIFE
Richard Nwosu developed a passion for acting from a young age. He trained as an accountant at Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma. An ASUU strike during his studies prompted him to pursue acting more seriously when Nollywood was emerging. He started with modelling for TV commercials and billboards before transitioning fully into film.
CAREER
Richard Nwosu entered Nollywood in the early 2000s and has been active for over two decades. He began as an actor in films such as Sex Slave, My Fantasy, Tears of the Ghetto, Life Is Beautiful, and Faded Feelings. He later expanded into producing, directing, and screenwriting. He is the founder of Abagee Global Media. Recent directorial works include, Walls Apart (2024), Love and the Crown (2024), Wait for You (2023), Better Half (2023), Love Treaty, Mental Case (2024), Marital Abandonment (2024), Mannerless, Water and Wine, and collaborations with talents such as Ruth Kadiri, Maurice Sam, and Kanayo O. Kanayo. He is known for romance, drama, and socially relevant stories, often handling multiple roles (director, writer, producer) on projects.
