Credit Union

In Credit Union, Edna runs a bread stall and her boyfriend Ifeanyi drives a car that keeps breaking down. Their sick friend Josh lends Ifeanyi his car for the day, so Ifeanyi works as a taxi driver to earn quick money. He picks up Basil and Loveth, a wealthy couple whose car died on the road. Loveth is rude to him throughout the ride, and Basil keeps apologizing. After the drop-off, Ifeanyi finds an envelope with $10,000 in the back seat. He takes it home, and he and Edna celebrate as if their money problems are over. His conscience troubles him, so he decides to return the cash. At Basil's house, Loveth slaps him and calls him a thief, but Basil thanks him for his honesty. Basil, already tired of Loveth's arrogance, throws her out. Edna is furious that Ifeanyi gave the money away, and she leaves him. Edna arrives at Basil's house looking for nanny work. Basil hires her as his cook instead, and her dedication impresses him. He grows kind to her, then falls for her. Basil also hires Ifeanyi as his personal driver, so Ifeanyi works for him too. Edna and Basil grow closer, and Basil asks her to be his wife. Edna asks for a day to decide. In private she confesses to Ifeanyi that she still loves him, but Ifeanyi insists she accept Basil's proposal because Basil can give her a better life. Edna tells Basil the truth, that Ifeanyi is her ex-boyfriend. Basil is devastated and ends the relationship, saying he cannot share her heart with another man. Edna leaves Basil's house and goes to Josh. She asks if they can start over. Josh admits he cannot live without her and apologizes for backing down earlier. Basil gives his blessing, and Edna and Josh reunite and embrace.
