The Other Friend

As they plan their upcoming wedding, Nansleen and Kelvin visit a bakery where Tuvi, the baker, finds herself drawn to Kelvin. Witnessing this, Precious, The Other Friend, begins weaving a malicious scheme to dismantle the engagement, starting by hiring a man to stage a robbery attempt on Kelvin. Tuvi inadvertently foils the robbery, and Kelvin, grateful, offers her a ride home, which opens the door to frequent texts. Despite his friend Nonso's warnings, Kelvin dismisses Tuvi's growing interest until she boldly confesses her feelings at a bar, only to be firmly rejected as Kelvin reaffirms his commitment to Nansleen. Undeterred, Precious escalates her plot by secretly using Nansleen's phone to save a suspicious contact named 'Strawberry' and fabricate messages suggesting an affair. When Kelvin stumbles upon the deceitful contact, he confronts Nansleen, who truthfully denies any knowledge, but the damage is done—heartbroken, he calls off the wedding and demands she leave. Meanwhile, Tuvi, believing Kelvin is now available, attempts to grow closer, yet he remains emotionally distant and cold. The truth begins to surface when Precious arrogantly boasts to Tuvi about orchestrating the entire betrayal, from the robbery to the fake messages, to clear the path for Tuvi. Horrified, Tuvi warns Nansleen about Precious's treachery, an alert initially met with disbelief until the fragments of evidence coalesce, forcing Nansleen to face the bitter reality of a friendship poisoned by envy. Reunited by the revelation, Nansleen and Kelvin heal their fractured bond as Precious is fully exposed and ousted from their lives. The ordeal teaches Kelvin to cherish their relationship more deeply, prompting a fresh start without the distortions of social media. In a final act of reconciliation, Kelvin surprises Nansleen with a new car, and their joyful embrace signals a future built on renewed trust and hard-won clarity.
