What Remains Of Us
Tunde, a loud, generous, and proudly "local" Lagos big boy, loves Miriam with extravagant, over-the-top gestures dancers at her workplace, coolers of amala, stacks of cash anything to make her feel like a queen. But Miriam, an ambitious nurse, is deeply embarrassed by his razz behaviour and craves a more "classy" man. While Tunde prepares the grandest gesture of all, Miriam is secretly seeing Josh, a smooth-talking younger guy who gives her the aesthetic she thinks she wants. A hilarious, chaotic, and ultimately heartbreaking comedy about real love versus packaged lies.

Storyline
Tunde is rich, generous, and unapologetically local. To celebrate Miriam passing her nursing exam, he storms the hospital with drummers, dancers, flowers, cash spray, and coolers of amala and gbegiri. Miriam dies of embarrassment in front of her colleagues and drags him out, scolding him for always being "too local and extra." Her friend Oge tells her to appreciate the man who truly loves her, but Miriam is secretly dating Josh a younger, better-dressed guy who ignores her calls, uses her for sex, and gives her nothing but sweet words and fake packaging. Tunde buys a massive, gaudy lion-head engagement ring ("Lion and Lioness"), confident Miriam will love it. Meanwhile Josh brings his car to Emeka’s workshop, acts arrogant, refuses to pay, and insults Tunde. Tunde orders his boys to beat him up without knowing he’s beating his own rival. That night Tunde shows up at Miriam’s house in a comical mismatched outfit to propose. When she sees the tacky ring, Miriam explodes calls him smelly, local, embarrassing, and throws him out. Heartbroken Tunde convinces himself she’s just stressed. Days later Miriam rushes to Josh’s house after he finally calls with the usual "my mother is sick" lie, only to bump into Priscy—Josh’s real fiancée. Priscy exposes him as a serial fraudster whose mother has actually died years ago. Josh coldly tells Miriam he only wanted sex and orders her to leave. Devastated, Miriam begs Oge to drive her to Tunde’s house. She falls on her knees, crying and apologizing for taking his love for granted, then confesses she was cheating with Josh. Tunde suddenly realizes the "small boy" his boys battered at the workshop was the same guy sleeping with his woman. The double blow betrayal by Miriam and unknowingly punishing her lover shatters him completely. The film ends with Tunde wailing in raw emotional pain on the floor while Miriam begs and cries for forgiveness that may never come.
