Father And Son Trouble

Efe, an unemployed young man, argues with his father Papa Samson over money and inheritance. Papa rebukes him for chasing women, and Efe says he is about to blow up musically. A neighbour interrupts their fight and accuses Efe of peeping at her daughter bathing. Efe stages a public plea for Sarah, calling her his oxygen, and she becomes his girlfriend. Unknown to them, Papa has been dating Sarah's mother Carol and proposes, though Carol hesitates because of her daughter. Efe brings Sarah home, where Carol arrives as Papa's bride-to-be, and the young couple learn their parents are the same couple. Papa and Carol condemn the relationship as an abomination and team up to break it. Carol moves in and locks the kitchen, so Sarah and Efe clash with their parents over keys and meals. Efe refuses to back down, and Papa threatens to kill him before he loses the woman God gave him. A pastor backs the older couple, and an uncle refuses to bless Efe's marriage while his father lives. Efe and Sarah insist they will not give up, but Sarah stays celibate until marriage and the couple hears their parents enjoying themselves next door. He tells a friend he will fight his father rather than lose Sarah. After weeks of warfare, Papa suffers a mild heart attack and goes on medication. The doctor urges the household to reduce stress. Genotype tests confirm that Efe and Sarah are not medically safe to marry. Carol tearfully reminds Sarah of her first son Chidebere, who died of sickle cell disease after she married against medical advice. Sarah ends the relationship to spare a future child. Efe is devastated but his friends console him, and Carol and Samson revive their wedding plans. The families gather for the older couple's wedding, where Papa declares Efe his direct son and Carol welcomes Sarah as her daughter. Peace returns to the household. Efe jokingly advises Papa on pleasing his new wife, shows his tongue, and scandalizes Papa.
