Storyline
Ekwutosi rebels at the altar, refusing the traditional vows of respect and obedience, which immediately provokes Ignatius. Their wedding day continues with arguments over a missing envelope and Ekwutosi demanding a share of the expenses, while Ignatius hurls insults. The couple's new life in 'Tokunbo Marriage' is plagued by these financial disputes and mutual accusations. Within their home, they fight repeatedly about money, respect, and a misplaced phone. Ekwutosi belittles Ignatius for his poverty, and he retaliates by calling her a witch. Their conflicts escalate into accusations of theft and unauthorized bank withdrawals, with Ekwutosi threatening to eat at his grave. When a young relative tries to calm the situation, Ekwutosi slaps her. Ignatius falls ill, and despite their ongoing bickering, Ekwutosi nurses him, but the resentment lingers. The arrival of their son Chidi unexpectedly shifts the dynamics. The family reunites with joy, and Ignatius and Ekwutosi share a moment of laughter and affection, admitting their flaws as parents and deciding to start anew. The film shows them moving forward together.
