As they search for Kelechi's father, a disabled man joins street boys forced into crime, and the corporate heir vanishes. When Mitchell and the boy finally reach Chief Uba, he fails to recognize them and dies, leaving them penniless and alone.

Storyline

In Lagos, Mitchell works as a prostitute under the abusive pimp Obama, who demands her earnings and threatens violence. She escapes with a young boy named Kelechi to find his father, Chief Uba, in Asaba. Meanwhile, at Delta Atlantic corporation, the chairman retires and names his son, also Kelechi, as successor, enraging his brother Chike Mba, who vows revenge. Obama frantically searches for Mitchell, while his other workers suffer. Chike Mba meets a man named Prince and plots to make life difficult for his nephew, the new CEO. Mitchell and the boy reach Asaba and find Chief Uba's home, but the gatekeeper turns them away. They eventually see the elderly chief in bed, but he does not recognize them; his subordinate ejects them and later gives them money Penniless, they return to Lagos. Mitchell and the boy share a heartfelt conversation about his deceased father and her past. Kelechi becomes restored and he and Mitchell share a passionate kiss. Kelechi then attends a board meeting, forces the resignation of his uncle, and takes control of the company, firing his uncle. He returns to Mitchell, promising they have their whole lives to sort things out, and embraces her tenderly. The story closes with Mitchell finding a measure of hope and independence.
