Tracy, pregnant with her second child, notices her husband Desmond becoming stressed and erratic—arriving home late, snapping at her, and refusing to help with their son Kim. She confides in her friend Hilda, but Desmond's behavior escalates to physical abuse after Tracy discloses she had bleeding during pregnancy and must avoid sex. Hilda confronts Desmond at his office, then alerts his mother, Mama, who arrives to intervene. When Mama and Hilda confront Desmond at home, he explodes, revealing he is actually Michael, Desmond's twin brother, who has been impersonating him for months. Michael recounts his lifelong resentment, claiming their father favored Desmond and left him only 250 million of a billionaire fortune—a grievance that drove him to kill their father. He pulls a gun on Tracy, Hilda, and Mama, threatening to kill them. Police, alerted earlier by Hilda, storm the house and arrest Michael. In a separate location, the real Desmond is found tied to a chair, alive but traumatized. In the aftermath, Desmond recovers at home, surrounded by family. Mama wrestles with guilt over Michael’s actions, but Desmond reassures her and reveals he has secured a lawyer for his brother. The family begins to heal, with Desmond promising to be more present as they move forward together cautiously.
