In Office Husband Eddie and Mfon start married life under a mountain of vendor debt from a wedding that looked perfect online. Eddie pushes Mfon to find a steady job but she clings to the dream of a kept wife and pours their savings into a MeTube setup. He finds the receipts and they argue, then he suggests selling their rings to pay the bills and she refuses flat out. Mfon goes to her mother who tells her to build her own income instead of waiting on Eddie. At the interview she hides her ring and calls herself a single pringle and lands a corporate role. The paycheck flips the power dynamic and she seizes the joint account declaring your money is our money but my money is my money. Eddie swallows his pride and drives a ride hailing car. Mfon laughs at the work. Their bed goes cold because she turns him away saying she is too tired and too angry. When his driving money picks up he buys back her ring and orders her to quit for the soft life but she says no because she will not go back to zero. A pregnancy test shows positive and Eddie hears her on the phone telling her mother she will pin the baby on him. Eddie storms her office and catches her with her boss Gerald in a moment that shatters everything. The two men brawl in Gerald's office and the fight spills into their living room. Eddie screams that she has betrayed him and Mfon blames village people and the devil. He demands to know if Gerald bought the wigs and jewelry and clothes she flaunts and he contrasts those gifts with the love he gave that money could not buy. Eddie serves divorce papers and orders her to pack her things and leave his house. Mfon ends up on the floor sobbing as he walks away and their marriage collapses under the weight of lies. At the same time Gerald's other mistress arrives at his home and finds a wife and children waiting. She stands humiliated on the doorstep. Her mother tears into her for failing to play her games well.
