EARLY LIFE
Mercy Ibiang Isoyip was born on 11 July 1990 in Calabar, Cross River State, Nigeria, to a conservative Christian family. Her father was a former disc jockey, and her mother is a reverend. She has one sister, Blessing Isoyip. She grew up in a peaceful and prayerful household in Calabar and has spoken of enjoying a playful childhood. She attended Command Children School in Calabar for her elementary education and Zenith High School (also in Calabar) for secondary school.
