Morris, recently divorced after his ex-wife Sophia claimed half his assets, lives with his overbearing mother. She pressures him to remarry and targets Yagazie, a dispatch rider who delivers a package to their home. When Morris accuses Yagazie of stealing an artwork, his mother intervenes, declares her innocent, and hires her as a personal delivery assistant. Seeing an opportunity, the mother manipulates Morris into marrying Yagazie, convinced the young woman's naivety will prevent any property claim. The marriage proceeds and Yagazie moves into the household, where her mother-in-law forces her into domestic servitude and Morris dismisses her complaints. Conflict intensifies when Yagazie's friend Jennifer visits unannounced, leading to a violent confrontation in which the mother-in-law slaps Yagazie and Morris refuses to defend his wife. The mother-in-law then demands Yagazie's salary and denies her autonomy. A freak accident leaves both Morris and his mother paralyzed from the waist down and wheelchair-bound. With the power dynamic reversed, Yagazie assumes total control as caregiver. She seizes their phones, imposes a strict list of demands, and declares that it is her turn to shine. Yagazie coerces Morris into signing checks totaling thirty-five million naira, twenty million for household expenses and fifteen million as compensation for past abuse. His mother is forced to wash clothes for food and threatened with harm if she resists. Yagazie packs her bags, takes the fifteen million naira, and arranges for Morris's friend Tayo to assume caregiving duties. As Yagazie departs, the mother-in-law breaks down and accepts full blame for destroying her son's life. Morris, cold and detached, tells his mother she has ruined him and turns his wheelchair away and leaves her alone in the living room. The mother sobs alone in the living room.
