Chief Dele Rokoya dies and the will awards eighty percent of his estate to his second wife Nneka Orekoya and her son Ikechukwu. Dayo, the eldest son from Dele's first marriage, storms the living room and hurls insults at Nneka, calling her a harlot and denying her maternity while Ikechukwu defends her. Flashbacks reveal Dele's affair with Nneka during his first marriage, which Dayo blames for his mother's death. The family lawyer Mr. Orekoya attempts to mediate but Dayo refuses to yield, declaring the house and company his by right. Dayo forms a volatile alliance with Dalia, Dele's former mistress, to undermine Nneka and Ikechukwu. Ikechukwu discovers a hidden diary in his late father's chair uncovering that Dele is his biological father, not Charles Dike, a revelation that explains why Charles cast them out years earlier. Dayo crashes a private moment between Nneka and Ikechukwu, publicly branding Ikechukwu a double bastard and producing a forged DNA test. Nneka confesses she met Dele before marrying Charles but insists she never acted on it until Charles's sterility was discovered. The stakes sharpen when Dayo receives a posthumous letter from Dele admitting Dayo himself was the product of an affair, shattering his identity. Simultaneously Dalia's murderous scheming surfaces: she swapped Dele's sleeping pills for thallium to kill him slowly and frame Nneka, but the lack of an autopsy foiled her plan. She kidnaps her own partner Ben and later Ikechukwu, torturing them in a bid to seize total control. In a dimly lit room Dalia holds Ikechukwu and Ben at gunpoint, maniacally narrating her crimes. The police, tipped off by Ben's earlier interrogation, storm the location. A chaotic struggle ensues and Dalia is tackled and arrested while Nneka screams for her son's safety. Dayo, isolated in his car, reads Dele's letter and collapses under the weight of his own illegitimacy, realizing his hatred was built on a lie.
