Kantagari Goes To Town
*Katangari Goes to Town* is a classic murder mystery that has been successfully adapted to a modern African setting. The film uses a "chamber play" style, meaning almost the entire story takes place in one location. A large group of wealthy but deeply flawed characters are trapped together inside a luxurious mansion. This confined space creates intense psychological pressure, causing their fake displays of grief to quickly fade as paranoia and the desperate need to protect themselves take over.

Storyline
Inspector Katangari is a quirky, socially awkward, yet brilliant retired police detective who has stepped away from urban chaos to live a quiet life as a community vigilante in the peaceful town of Ta-Hoss. His tranquil existence is violently disrupted when he receives an urgent summons to a luxury mansion in Abuja. His wealthy cousin, Chief Bello Gyang—a prominent international businessman—has been brutally murdered. At the contentious reading of the will, a pre-recorded message from the deceased patriarch drops a bombshell: he knows he was assassinated, and the killer is currently sitting in the room. To secure justice, Katangari completely locks down the entire estate, trapping the late tycoon’s greedy relatives, associates, and friends inside. Armed with nothing but his sharp wits, Katangari gives himself a strict 72-hour deadline to uncover the killer before the official will can be legally processed.
