Biography

EARLY LIFE

Oritsegbubemi Temitope Ejeye, professionally known as Gbubemi Ejeye, was born on June 29, 1994, in Lagos, Lagos State, Nigeria. She is of Itsekiri ethnicity from Delta State in the South-South region of Nigeria, born to Mr. and Mrs. Ejeye. She attended Home Science Association Nursery and Primary School in Ikoyi, later transferred to Charret Primary School in Isolo, and completed secondary education at Oluade High School. She earned a law degree in 2015 from Houdegbe North American University in the Republic of Benin, a choice she made partly to please her father. After graduation, she completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program in Nigeria.

CAREER

Gbubemi Ejeye is a Nigerian actress and model who began her career on stage, debuting in November 2018 with the breast cancer awareness play Color Me Pink at Terra Kulture. She entered the film industry in 2019, with early credits including Adaife (2019) and Rickety. She gained prominence for roles such as Rachel in Citation (2020), Adufe in the Netflix series Far From Home (2022), Eniola in Game On Season 2 (2022), Talia in AM Covenant (2022), Mohini in Shuga (2023), and Funmi in Farmer’s Bride (2024). Her extensive filmography includes Quam’s Money (2020), Who’s The Boss (2020), My Name Is A-Zed (2020 as Princess), One Lagos Night (2021), The Set Up 2 (2022 as Nkoyo), Glamour Girls (2022 as Celeste).
