Mercy Aigbe

A renowned Nigerian actress, fashionista, filmmaker and enterpreneur she hails from Benin city Edo state well known for her roles in the yoruba movie industry, Mercy Aigbe basked into landlight in 2006 she attended polytechnic of Ibadan where she studied financial studies and theater Art from Lagos state university, her career began in the soap opera " papa Ajasco" founder of mercy Aigbe gentry school of drama a place where she trains and mentor aspiring actors, in 2023 she converted and Islamic religion and changed her name to Haija Meena

EARLY LIFE

Mercy Aigbe was born in Edo State and is the second of five children. She attended The Polytechnic, Ibadan, where she received her OND in Financial Studies, and later graduated from the University of Lagos in 2001 with a degree in Theatre Arts.

CAREER

She began her acting career in soap operas (including "Papa Ajasco") before joining the Nollywood industry professionally in 2006. She is a renowned Nigerian actress, fashionista, filmmaker, and entrepreneur, best known for her roles in Yoruba language films. In 2016, she founded the "Mercy Aigbe Gentry School of Drama," a place where she trains and mentors aspiring actors. She is also a businesswoman, having launched her clothing store, Mag Divas Boutique, in 2014.

PERSONAL LIFE

In 2013, she married hotelier Lanre Gentry, with whom she has two children. She separated from him in 2017, citing domestic violence. In 2022, she married filmmaker Kazim Adeoti. In 2023, she converted to Islam and changed her name to Haija Meena.
