Mama Says No 2

In Mama Says No 2, Nonso lies in bed with Kemi and pushes her away, calling her mad for saying she is his wife. His mother Nkechi arrives with a young woman named Omalicha and says she will be a second wife. Nkechi and Omalicha attack Kemi and leave her battered while Nonso watches and does not stop them. Kemi goes to her friend Lola, who tells her to fake a breakdown so Nonso will feel sorry. Nonso confronts his mother instead, and Nkechi claims Kemi beat her and threatens to call the elders. Nonso's friend tells him to send his mother away for peace, but Nonso cannot decide. Kemi says she is tired of fighting alone, so she walks out and wishes him well. Kemi stays with Lola while Nonso drinks heavily and his friend comforts him. Nkechi sends Omalicha into Nonso's dark room where the drunk Nonso mistakes her for Kemi. Nonso realizes the trick and pulls back, but Nkechi later claims Omalicha is pregnant with Nonso's child from that night. Nonso says he fell asleep and denies everything. Kemi returns for her things and hears the pregnancy claim. Omalicha insists the baby is Nonso's until Nkechi questions her hard and she breaks, admitting the father is Collins. Nkechi realizes she was tricked and throws Omalicha out, and Nonso tells his mother she brought the girl so she should leave too. Nkechi storms out and discovers Omalicha stole her ATM card and drained the account to 2,500 naira. She collapses outside the house and Nonso and Kemi follow and comfort her. Nkechi apologizes to Kemi and admits she was cruel and thanks her for kindness. Kemi speaks gently and praises Nkechi for raising a good man. The two women hold each other and cry and reconcile. Six months later Kemi is heavily pregnant and Nonso dotes on her while a changed Nkechi brings fresh ugba and yogurt and forbids Kemi from lifting a finger. The house is warm and they wait for the grandchild as Nkechi says her report is complete and the conflict ends.
