Ejiro, a flamboyant skincare influencer and content creator, moves into a rental property owned by Mr. Johnson, a stern middle-aged landlord who immediately takes issue with Ejiro's expressive mannerisms and lively personality. Tension builds when Ejiro's mother Grace Onome arranges a meeting between Ejiro and Chika, a young woman from a respectable family, hoping to steer her son toward a conventional match. Ejiro dismisses the arrangement with sharp wit and openly mocks the setup, reaffirming his refusal to conform. Mr. Johnson, already irritated by Ejiro's presence, attempts to serve a quit notice but discovers the lease requires six months' notice, trapping them in an uneasy cohabitation. The dynamic shifts when Mr. Johnson suffers a medical emergency and collapses alone in his flat. Ejiro discovers him, calls for help, and accompanies him to the hospital, refusing to leave his side. During Mr. Johnson's recovery Ejiro tends to him with unexpected tenderness, cooking and cleaning and managing his care without complaint. Grace Onome arrives at the hospital and through Ejiro's devotion Mr. Johnson witnesses a side of the young man that contradicts his assumptions. In quiet conversations Mr. Johnson reveals his own fractured relationship with his daughter Anita, whom he and his wife rejected years earlier after she came out as gay. Moved by Ejiro's compassion Mr. Johnson asks for help locating Anita, and Ejiro facilitates a tentative reunion between father and daughter. Empowered by his own process toward reconciliation Mr. Johnson visits Grace Onome at her home. He shares the pain of losing Anita, the daily regret of his rejection, and the healing that began only when he chose to reach out. He urges Grace to extend the same grace to Ejiro, emphasizing that her son carries her love in everything he does. Grace visits Ejiro at his car where a fragile conversation erupts into raw confrontation.
