Storyline

Mama Nonso's frustration at being excluded from the Grandmother's Club because her son remains unmarried sets the family drama in motion. She pressures her husband to make Nonso settle down, and Nonso responds by proposing dramatically to Chidera. But when he introduces her to his parents, Mama Nonso vehemently opposes the match, citing Chidera's sisters—Adesua, Kiki, and Chichi—each of whom took over a decade to conceive. Nonso's father brokers a compromise: Chidera must be pregnant within three months for the marriage to proceed. Desperate, Chidera makes Nonso wear baggy boxers and seeks medical help for abdominal pain, only to discover she has fibroids. Her mother advises secrecy and traditional remedies, sending concoctions that cause severe side effects. Meanwhile, Mama Nonso learns of the fibroid and publicly shames Chidera, calling her promiscuous, pushing Nonso into a moment of weakness where he sleeps with Chidera's best friend, Funmi. Funmi then falsely claims to be pregnant, and Mama Nonso insists Nonso marry her. Heartbroken, Chidera watches as Nonso agrees and weds Funmi, who fakes pregnancy symptoms. The climax arrives when Nonso discovers blood on Funmi's underwear, confirming she menstruates and never was pregnant. Confronted, Funmi admits the lie, and Nonso throws her out. Simultaneously, Chidera's health deteriorates after taking a potent herbal concoction; she collapses and is rushed to the hospital, where Dr. Mills saves her. Tests reveal the dangerous substance, and Chidera's mother confesses. Dr. Mills explains fibroids can be managed medically. In the resolution, Nonso kneels and begs forgiveness, but Chidera refuses, stating she has moved on with Dr. Mills, who has proven supportive. Nonso then blames his mother for ruining his life and orders her to leave his house. Chidera forgives Funmi and drives away with Dr. Mills, beginning a new relationship while Nonso is left alone, having lost both his true love and his mother's influence.
