Storyline
Abdulhamid is a disciplined businessman who lives with Ireti, his live-in girlfriend, and his young son, Karim. After a startling phone call, his car clips Ediyemma as she walks along a road wearing headphones after a housemate sprayed her with water during a quarrel. He insists he honked, she insists she did not hear it, and she refuses his offer of a ride. He returns her lost phone, and she begins working under his supervision as contract staff. At the office, Ediyemma calls him Mr. A and finishes her first assignment, though her spontaneous methods clash with his strict process. He invites her to an association dinner, where he massages her sprained ankle and she buys him a burger to loosen him up. Ireti resents the bond after seeing a woman dance in Abdulhamid's office and watching Ediyemma start mentoring Karim, who adores her and prefers her company to Ireti's strictness. Ediyemma's boyfriend, Chidi, breaks up with her, tired of her forgetfulness and spontaneity. Ireti pressures Abdulhamid to dismiss Ediyemma. When a campaign launches with missing data sets, Abdulhamid blames her careless collation, fires her on the spot, and refuses a second chance. That night, Ireti sends Karim to bed early, Abdulhamid says his son considers her his least favorite person, and she realizes he is using her as an excuse, so she storms out. Alone, Abdulhamid reflects on the chaos he created. He later finds the missing data points himself, sees he acted too quickly, and decorates a room with flower petals to make amends. He calls Ediyemma, apologizes for kicking her out, and tells her she brought color into his life, which felt drained and gray without her. Overwhelmed, Ediyemma says she loves him, and he leans in and kisses her.
