Rejected from another interview for lacking experience, Chizi heads home, only to be publicly shamed by Bukky over a borrowed Indomie and eggs. Her roommate Sharon faced the same rejection. Chizi pushes hookup work, but Sharon refuses; Chizi's own venture ends with a brutal beating. Sharon's side job as a professional mourner becomes a lifeline, and Chizi joins her. At Chibuzo Nwadike's funeral, Chizi's theatrical mourning draws attention, while Sharon calms the deceased's disturbed son, Nathan. Vero, Nathan's aunt, promptly hires Sharon as his caregiver. Moving into the mansion, Sharon witnesses Nathan's bizarre rituals, from counting obsessions to military marching. One night, Nathan drops the act and tells Sharon the truth: his madness is a calculated disguise. His uncle Ekene murdered Chibuzo after the father uncovered an extensive child and women trafficking operation, and Nathan has been secretly feeding evidence to a private investigator. Trusting him, Sharon agrees to help; Chizi, now a frequent visitor, joins the conspiracy. Nathan devises a trap, directing Sharon to stage a violent outburst so convincing that Ekene believes she can no longer handle the patient. With the CCTV password surrendered as a concession, Ekene confronts Nathan with a gun, still convinced he is unstable. Tossing aside his act, Nathan forces Ekene to confess his crimes, unaware that the police are listening live through Nathan's hidden connection. Officers burst in, arresting Ekene for murder and trafficking; as he is dragged away, Nathan reminds him that he had been warned. With Ekene in custody, Nathan starts cleaning up his family's company, dismissing the corrupt staff and vowing to manage things honestly. He begs Sharon and Chizi to stay, and they agree, celebrating with champagne that Chizi sprays around the room. In the quiet that follows, one of them murmurs that God is indeed faithful, and the friends toast to the future they thought poverty had stolen.
