Ify Okoye, a passionate but struggling writer, lives with Jake, a pragmatic accountant who pressures her to abandon her literary dreams for a stable corporate career. Plagued by writer's block, Ify finds unexpected inspiration in vivid recurring dreams about a mysterious handsome man. Her routine shifts when Queen, a charismatic fashion entrepreneur, moves in next door and befriends Ify, persuading her to model for a new clothing line. At a gathering in Ify's apartment, Queen introduces her boyfriend Tiam, and Ify is stunned to recognize him as the exact man from her dreams. As Ify grapples with the impossibility of her dream man existing in flesh, Jake intensifies his interference by secretly sending her résumé to a contact for a high-paying management role. The act sparks a fierce argument that ends with Ify demanding he leave. Meanwhile, Ify's creative breakthrough arrives through her dreams, allowing her to write furiously. Tiam, revealed to be Jake's friend, begins appearing at Jake's apartment under the pretense of visiting but clearly seeking Ify.
