Christiana Martin

EARLY LIFE

Christiana Martin was born on October 26, 1986, in Warri, Delta State, Nigeria, to a Nigerian (Urhobo) mother and a German father. She was raised primarily in Warri with her elder sister and mother, immersing herself in Nigerian culture, traditions, and Pidgin English (which she speaks fluently alongside English and her mother’s Urhobo dialect). She has described Warri as a cool place to grow up despite occasional rough areas. She completed her early education in Nigeria before pursuing formal film training abroad.

CAREER

Christiana entered Nollywood with a cameo role in 2014. Motivated by the experience, she trained at the New York Film Academy in Hi-Def Filmmaking and Acting. She co-founded The Filmsage Productions with a business partner and co-produced her first feature film Scorned (in which she played a rape victim), which screened on major TV stations and was a finalist at the Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival. PERSONAL LIFE

Christiana is a single mother of two children: a son named Collin and a daughter named Keva. She is open about the joys of motherhood and frequently shares light-hearted or humorous content involving her kids. She has spoken of losing her biological mother and gaining support from close friends and “non-biological moms.” She maintains a private stance on romantic relationships and focuses on family, personal growth, and resilience. She enjoys dancing, swimming, cooking, writing, and fitness.
