Storyline

In Right But Wrong, Dave’s resentment toward his mother Clara’s live-in boyfriend, Jeff, erupts into a shouting match over respect, prompting him to borrow her car while she’s away on business. With friend Ken, he accidentally strikes real estate agent Sylvia, and his guilt launches a daily hospital vigil. Though Ken urges flight, Dave’s conscience anchors him to the older woman, and after her discharge he cares for her at home, cooking and absorbing her recent betrayal by ex Ayo. Shared stories of absent parents and broken trust kindle intimacy, but best friend Bimbo warns that the 15-year age gap invites judgment, while his mother grows suspicious of his absences. Just as Dave musters the courage to confess his feelings in Sylvia’s hallway, she rebuffs him, citing the age difference, and soon accepts a marriage proposal from the repentant Ayo, despite Bimbo’s protests. Crushed, Dave withdraws, but Sylvia’s wedding preparations are shattered when a text message reveals Ayo’s continued infidelity; throwing him out, she realizes her own heart belongs to the younger man and transforms her living room into a shrine of ‘I Love You’ balloons to declare her love. Their fragile reunion, however, is intercepted by Dave’s mother, whose fury over the age disparity—coupled with the humiliation of Dave’s own teenage conception—drives him from the house and into a car crash that leaves him comatose. In the sterile quiet of the hospital, Jeff, certain that Sylvia’s voice can reach him, secretly brings her to his bedside, where she kneels and pours out vows of love, pleading for him to wake. Her pledge to choose him against all opposition stirs him from the coma, and months later their bond is sealed over dinner at a restaurant, toasting to eternity as Sylvia begins recounting a whimsical tale of a little bunny that mirrors their earliest moments of connection, cementing a love that refused to be silenced.
