EARLY LIFE
Obey Etuk-Chima, also known as Obey Etok Chima, is from Ikot-Ekpene Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. She graduated from the Department of Theatre Arts, Imo State University (IMSU). She was influenced to go into acting by Liz Benson.
CAREER
Obey Etok-Chima started her acting career in 1998, landing a role in the blockbuster movie 'Camouflage' during an excursion to Lagos with her coursemates from Imo State University. She gained prominence for her role as Sandra in the Wale Adenuga Television Series 'No Pain, No Gain' of the Super Story fame. Her other works include 'Aristos', 'From a Distance', 'Edima', 'Disguised', 'Power of Love', 'Two in Love', 'My Promised Land', and 'Nsuto-Anwan'. She took a break from acting to focus on her family and raising her children, but has since returned to the Nollywood industry. She is also known for her role in Am The Yard (2025).
PERSONAL LIFE
Obey Etuk-Chima is happily married and has children. She temporarily stepped away from acting to attend to family matters and raise her kids. She also tried her hand at business, including running a boutique and distributing goods for her husband, who is based abroad, but found more joy in acting. She loves football and supports Barcelona, and also enjoys watching movies, house chores, and cooking.
