Becoming

Following her husband’s death, Susan becomes a shell of herself, struggling to accept the reality of her situation and isolate herself from the world, despite attempts by her friend Victory to help her. Josh Usen's best friend, returns to town and becomes a central figure in Susan's life. Recognizing that Susan has become isolated, Josh consistently encourages her to step outside, face the world, and reintegrate into society. He eventually succeeds in getting her to attend a public event using VIP tickets to ensure her comfort. Josh becomes a constant presence, listening to her, bringing food, and helping her break her cycle of isolation. Their time spent together, however, leads to an unexpected emotional turn. After a night of drinking leads to an intimate encounter, Josh attempts to take responsibility by proposing marriage, driven by a sense of duty, guilt, and developing feelings for her.
