Vaulted Heart

In Vaulted Heart, Teslim Balogun starts his day on a strict schedule. His SUV refuses to start, so he orders a Drivio ride and minds the driver's loud music. Amaka Okafor, an aspiring fashion designer juggling jobs, oversleeps and rushes out, forgetting her bag and phone. She boards the same ride and buys Zobo and bread. When she spills juice on his shirt, he berates her. At his office he finds she took his laptop by mistake, and Amaka loses her internship interview for being late without her portfolio. She returns the laptop, and they argue over fault. She storms out and predicts karma. Amaka takes a cleaning job and is horrified to find Teslim is her employer. When his cufflinks go missing, he accuses her. Madam Dorothy locks her up until he finds them and apologizes. Humiliated, Amaka curses him, and Teslim collapses from a heart defect. At the hospital she stays with him through surgery, and he reveals he has no one. She becomes his paid caregiver, and they bond over personal stories. He gives her money and a phone, and their friendship becomes romance. But when she visits his office, his colleague mistakes her for a cleaner and Teslim says nothing. He makes amends at a client dinner by introducing her as a business consultant and rebranding fashion designer, a lie that crushes her. Amaka confronts Teslim and says he tries to change her and is ashamed of her. She breaks up with him, unable to accept his gifts or the facade. Devastated, Teslim asks Amaka's aunt for advice, and she tells him to make a grand gesture. He buys Amaka a store space and, in a video call, introduces her to his mother and sister as his girlfriend. Amaka is moved by his sincerity and his admission that he loves her as she is. She forgives him, and they reconcile. A fashion house calls with an opportunity. That evening, Bill, the Drivio driver, delivers their food and marvels that the couple who fought in his car are now together.
