Biography
Osas Ighodaro is a Nigerian- American actress, TV host, Entrepreneur and Founder of Joyful Joy Foundation.She won the 2010 Miss Black USA Pageant. A Penn State graduate, she is known for TV roles and hosting gigs like Maltina Dance All.
EARLY LIFE
Born on 26 October 1990 in Bronx, New York, United States, to Nigerian parents of Edo origin. Obtained a degree in Broadcast Journalism with dual minors in Entrepreneurship and Theater from Pennsylvania State University. Further obtained an MA in Fine Arts from the Actors Studio Drama School at Pace University. Member of Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority and founder of Imuetinyan Productions.
CAREER
Began acting career in New York after college, performing in theatre plays and indie films. Moved to Nigeria in 2012, starring in Nollywood films including Adanna in Tinsel. Starred in Cadillac Records, The Smart Money Woman, Gbomo Gbomo Express, Rattlesnake: The Ahanna Story, and Man of God. Co-hosted The Headies 2022 and 2023, 2014 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards, and Maltina Dance All.
PERSONAL LIFE
Married to Gbenro Ajibade in June 2015; they had a child in 2016 and divorced shortly after. Founded the Joyful Joy Foundation, a fundraising organization for malaria.
