Heart Budget

Bisola had sold her car, paid for Chris's education, and bought his clothes, yet he ended their relationship with the cold admission that he had never been attracted to her and wanted to settle down. When she asked her cousin Nicole, a successful businesswoman who had helped Chris get his job, to fire him, Nicole refused and told Bisola her appearance was the problem. Around the same time, Brad, a businessman whose girlfriend Josie abandoned him over his inability to be intimate, confessed his condition to his friend Jerry, and his mother pressured him into a three-month dating arrangement with Nicole. The film Heart Budget brings these two streams together when Bisola's mother, convinced that Nicole's influence would change her daughter, persuaded Nicole to take Bisola on as a personal assistant, placing Bisola in the same home where Brad was courting Nicole. At Nicole's house, Bisola was mocked for her tomboy style and treated like a servant, but Brad recognized her as the woman he had once seen crying in an elevator, the first woman in years to trigger an erection. He began spending time with her, driving her to work, cooking for her, and playing card games, and he eventually told her about his psychological condition, explaining that doctors said only she could cure him. Bisola, touched by his vulnerability, admitted she liked him too, and the two grew close despite the risk of hurting Nicole. When Nicole found Brad at Bisola's house, she confronted Bisola at the office, slapped her, called her a betrayer, and fired her. Guilt-ridden at having caused the same pain Chris had caused her, Bisola broke off the relationship and left for Port Harcourt without telling anyone. Brad searched for Bisola, but a neighbor said no one knew where she had gone, and he returned home defeated. In front of his mother, he admitted his erectile dysfunction and said Bisola was the only woman who made him feel like a man; his mother then apologized to Bisola.
