Touki Bouki

In the bustling, post-colonial city of Dakar, Mory, a rebellious cowherd who rides a motorcycle adorned with a bull-horned skull, crosses paths with Anta, an independent university student. Deeply alienated by the economic stagnation and societal pressures of post-independence Senegal, the young lovers dream of escaping to Paris. Desperate for a ticket to this imagined European paradise, they embark on a series of erratic, lawbreaking schemes across the city to raise the money.
