The Wrong Couple

Hounded by his wife and debt collectors, Eddie, a financially struggling man, meets Funmi after a motorbike breakdown, and their payment dispute turns into an uneasy alliance. In 'The Wrong Couple', they target Caleb, a wealthy marriage counselor, by posing as a couple in need of therapy to steal a diamond necklace from his home. During a fake counseling session, they perform intimacy to distract Caleb while Funmi locates and steals the necklace from a bedroom drawer, leaving successfully and believing they have pulled off the heist. Returning later for a second robbery with masks and weapons, they are met by Caleb's calm offer of drugged pasta, which leaves them unconscious. Upon waking, Caleb reveals he recognized them from the earlier session and that the necklace is a cheap imitation, forcing them to serve as his household staff for a month under threat of police involvement. During their servitude, Caleb listens to a recording of Funmi's conversation and learns about their desperate backgrounds. Moved by their lack of parental guidance, he decides to release them, provided they change their ways. Eddie and Funmi leave, having reconciled and begun a legitimate relationship, and Caleb later checks on them, offering to mentor them.
