The Homecoming

Carol lives with her blind grandfather and struggles to find a job. After a failed interview for an accounting position, her friend Susu pushes her to take chances, leading her to EazzyGroup where her quick thinking during a crisis impresses the boss, Miss Uduak, who hires her as an assistant despite not fitting the fashion role. Carol travels to Uduak's family home in Abuja to prepare for a Christmas photoshoot, encountering hostility from Uduak's assistant, Vivian, but forming a bond with Uduak's brother, Luther. Back home, her grandfather's health deteriorates, and Carol receives a devastating call that he has died. Devastated and feeling unsupported, she argues with Uduak about her treatment and quits her job in anger, walking out. Luther finds her and confesses his feelings, offering support as she struggles to process her grief, feeling numb and stuck. Months later, Carol is in a new relationship with Luther, who helps her find closure. She visits her grandfather's grave, finally saying goodbye, and has started a new job in accounting, fulfilling her original career path. She is happy, and Luther and Carol are together, having begun to heal.
